Privacy policy.
The short version: we collect your email address only if you give it to us, we use it only to send you Astelyx updates, and we never sell it or share it for marketing. The long version follows.
Last updated · 10 June 2026Who we are
Astelyx Ltd (“Astelyx”, “we”) operates astelyx.com. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR. You can reach us at support@astelyx.com.
What we collect
- Waitlist email. If you join the waitlist, we store the email address you submit, the time you submitted it, and the page it came from. That is the only information the form collects.
- Messages you send us. If you email support@astelyx.com, we receive your address and the contents of your message.
- Technical data. Like every website, our hosting provider processes IP addresses and request metadata in server logs to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
There are no accounts and no payments on this site. If you support us on Patreon, that relationship is handled entirely by Patreon under its own privacy policy.
How we use it, and on what legal basis
- Sending you development updates - new builds, devlogs, and release announcements. Legal basis: your consent, given when you submit the waitlist form. You can withdraw it at any time.
- Replying to your messages. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
- Keeping the site secure and online. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating the service safely.
We do not sell personal data, run advertising on this site, or use your email for anything beyond Astelyx updates.
Where your data lives
The waitlist is stored in a database hosted with Cloudflare in the UK/EU. Cloudflare operates a global network, so requests to the site may be processed at edge locations outside the UK and EEA; those transfers are covered by Cloudflare’s data processing terms, including standard contractual clauses and the UK addendum.
Who can see it
The small Astelyx team, and the service providers that process data on our behalf: Cloudflare (hosting and database) and the provider that handles our email. No third party receives your data for marketing, and nobody else gets it unless the law requires us to hand it over.
How long we keep it
Waitlist emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, or until we retire the waitlist after launch - whichever comes first. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to resolve the conversation.
Your rights
Under the UK and EU GDPR you can, at any time:
- ask for a copy of the data we hold about you;
- have it corrected or deleted;
- restrict or object to how we process it;
- receive it in a portable format;
- withdraw consent - every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, or just write to us.
Email support@astelyx.comto exercise any of these and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) or your local EU supervisory authority.
Cookies
This site sets no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary cookies for security purposes only.
Children
The waitlist is not aimed at children. If you are under 13, please don’t submit your email; if you are a parent and believe your child has, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other services
Patreon, Discord, and our social profiles are separate services with their own privacy policies. This policy covers astelyx.com only.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated date. If the changes materially affect how we use waitlist data, we will email the list before they take effect.
